Terms of Service
Sadhana Lock · Effective 30 July 2026
By installing or using Sadhana Lock, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please uninstall the app.
1. What the app is
Sadhana Lock is an Android app that rests apps you choose at times you choose, and asks for a short spiritual practice — a shloka, a breath, or japa — before opening them again. It is published by Interludeapps.
2. What Sadhana Lock does not promise
Please read this section. It describes real limits of what any app of this kind can do on Android.
- The lock can be removed. It works through Android's Accessibility API, which you can switch off at any time in your phone's settings — as can anyone else holding your unlocked phone. The app is a support for your own intention, not a security control, and it is not designed to resist a determined attempt to get past it.
- Some phones will stop it. Manufacturers including realme, Oppo, Xiaomi, Vivo and others run aggressive battery managers that can shut the app down while your phone sleeps, so a practice time may not fire. The app guides you through the settings that usually prevent this, but Android gives no way to detect or guarantee the outcome, and behaviour differs by manufacturer, model and system update.
- It is not a health or wellbeing treatment. Nothing in the app is medical, psychological, or professional advice, and it is not a treatment for compulsive phone use, addiction, anxiety, or any other condition. If phone use is seriously affecting your life, please speak to a qualified professional.
- It should not be relied on in an emergency. Do not depend on the app to let you reach a phone call, a map, or any other urgent thing. It provides an emergency exit for exactly this reason, but you should not put yourself in a position where getting past a practice screen matters.
The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows.
3. Sadhana Plus
- Sadhana Plus is an auto-renewing subscription, offered monthly or yearly. It renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
- Cancelling is done in Google Play — Play Store → Menu → Subscriptions → Sadhana Lock — or from Settings → Manage subscription inside the app, which opens the same page. Cancelling stops the next charge; you keep Plus until the period you have already paid for ends.
- It is bought through Google Play and tied to the Google account you bought it with. It is active on any device where you sign in with that account.
- The free version remains fully usable, during a subscription and after one ends. The lock, the practice, the japa counter and the Bhagavad Gītā do not expire, are not withdrawn if you never subscribe, and do not stop working if you cancel. Apps you have already guarded stay guarded.
- We may change what the subscription costs or includes. A price rise never applies to an existing subscriber without Google Play notifying you first and, where Play requires it, asking you to accept it.
4. Refunds
Purchases are made through Google Play, and refunds are governed by Google Play's refund policy rather than by us. If Google's window has passed and you feel the app did not do what it promised — particularly if the lock would not run on your phone — write to us at interludeapp.official@gmail.com and we will do our best to sort it out.
5. Scripture and content
The Sanskrit verses in the app are drawn from texts long in the public domain. The English and Hindi translations, the commentary, the reading plans and the app's writing, design and artwork are original works and remain the property of Interludeapps. You are welcome to share the verse images the app produces. Please do not extract, republish, or redistribute the translations or other content as a body of work without permission.
6. Acceptable use
Please do not attempt to decompile, modify, or redistribute the app, circumvent the purchase, or use it to interfere with anyone else's device.
7. Privacy
Sadhana Lock collects no personal data and operates no server. See the Privacy Policy for the details, including exactly what the accessibility service can and cannot see.
8. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Interludeapps is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app — including anything missed because an app was locked, or because the lock failed to engage. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app.
9. Changes
These terms may be updated as the app changes. Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Mumbai shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
